Where Will Your Love Take You? Discover The Secret Blend Of Astrology Matching.

In ancient times, astrology was considered both an art and a science. Practitioners were held in great respect, advising Kings and Emperors on when to go into battle and when to marry. The astronomers and the astrologers slowly separated from each other. Today, these wise sages appear in the magazines to give all of us our horoscope. I am not really interested in the fortune telling aspect of astrology, but I do find astrology matching a fascinating subject.

Some people find the idea of our personalities being shaped by the position of the stars at the time of our birth, a ridiculous notion. I have read about the twelve signs of the zodiac and the qualities and mistake of each one. Observing family and friends, I am surprised to find that many things ring true.

The most complex issue of all is astrology matching, where we evaluate how different signs will get along. This can be applied to family relationships, friendships, business relationships and romantic ones. I'm not saying astrology is a perfect science and we should rule our lives by it, but it's worth looking at.

I bought a big, fat book on astrology which focused on the idea of astrology matching. Of course, I looked firstly at myself and my husband's match. I am Cancer and he is Scorpio, one of the best matches you can have apparently. It must be pointed out however, that this winning combination didn't do Prince Charles and Princess Diana any good. There's bound to be exceptions.

Each of the zodiac signs falls into the four classic elements of Air, Water, Fire and Earth. Therefore, the Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) are the burning, passionate ones. The Air signs (Libra, Aquarius and Gemini) are the clever thinkers. The Earth signs (Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo) are the straightforward, salt of the Earth types. The Water signs (Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio) are the emotional, sensitive ones. These elements are important when it comes to astrology matching. For example, a Water sign must be careful not to throw water on a Fire sign, crushing his enthusiasm.

There is a lot of talk about finding a soul friend when it comes to astrology matching. It's not a matter of finding an identical person, but someone who will complement you with their own feature. In fact, the combination of two signs together is not always a good idea, as you double up on too many things. Two Cancers together could make for too much sulking and two Leos could be a little too unstable. I'm not advising astrology matching should affect your choice of mate. Just give it some notice and you may be surprised.

How Astrology States Compatibility For Love and Marriage?

Astrology happens to be of extreme significance so far as human compatibility is concerned. This unique stream of knowledge gives an incredible insight into the various traits of a human personality. By acquainting yourself with these traits, you can ascertain the compatibility levels of a couple with success.

In fact these compatibility insights imparted by astrologer happens to be of crucial importance in making decision about your soul mate. If your astrological compatibility with your girl friend is not that good according to astrology reading, you are not likely to marry your girl friend and even if you marry your marriage may end soon.

That's why before tying the knot people long to know the feasibility of that relationship with the expected spouse. A compatibility insight could either be in conformity with your decision or it may suggest you to give a second thought to your decision.

Birth chart and your stars reveal a great deal about you and your love or marriage compatibility could be adjudged by analyzing your moon sign and position of Mars and Venus. Birth chart depicts the planet that casts a dominating influence over you. You imbibe most of your traits from that dominating planet. Similarly the person with whom you are checking your compatibility is analyzed on these counts. If traits are in conformity with each other and you and the other person under consideration share certain equation of Mars and Venus, you both could be compatible with each other.

Broadly speaking, your astrology sun sign greatly tells your compatibility with the people of other sign. If you are borne with a fire sign like Aries, you have very little chances of sharing a good relation with people of water sign. A general compatibility of sun sign happens to be a very general way of checking your compatibility. However an in depth analysis of birth chart and planets would tell about compatibility with utmost certainty.

Vedic Astrology that is prevalent in far eastern country India, lays great emphasis on astrological compatibility for marriage. Marriage happens to be on the card only when birth chart of bride and groom shows certain similarities or certain equations and this is considered as a sure indicator of higher level of compatibility.

Before marriage you can also go on checking your compatibility with your would-be soul mate with the help of an expert astrologer.

Astrology

In astrology, luck is preordained, simply put, some people are just born lucky. Of course, to believe, or not believe in astrology is the prerogative of every thinking individual and just as in the case of other disciplines, in astrology too, there are those practitioners who are proficient in their area of expertise and those that need to hone their skills.

'Reincarnation' is a principle that is fundamental to Hinduism. According to this belief, the course of any individual's life, is the sum total of that person's 'Karma', from previous births. All mortals must therefore follow the cycle of birth and rebirth, till a stage of, 'Atam Gyan', or enlightenment is reached. As a result of this cycle, the birth chart that one inherits is considered to be the resultant of one's actions from previous lives. Therefore, in astrology, a horoscope is considered to be a map, which identifies positive elements one can take advantage of to attract those golden opportunities people call good luck.

Although, there are several forms of astrology, the predominantly practiced forms are, as Western Astrology, Vedic Astrology or 'Jyotish' and Chinese Astrology, as a search on any Internet Search Engine will reveal. Most people still think that astrology is all about - your Sun Sign, however, true astrology is not what you see in newspapers and magazines, as these readings are generic and are too general in nature to be of any purposeful value.

Vedic astrology is defined as a mathematical study of the motion of the planets and constellations, for the purpose of drawing a horoscope. Analysing the positions and characteristics of the planets in a particular horoscope, allows astrological predictions, of future events to be made. Vedic and Western astrologies share most of their basic concepts, such as the signs, planets, and houses, as well as their general interpretive meanings. The fundamental difference between the two lies the measurement of the zodiac. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, in which the stars are considered to be the fixed background against which the motion of the planets is measured. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, where the motion of the planets is measured against the position of the Sun on the Spring equinox. Sidereal astrologers claim their approach is more in keeping with the ancient traditions of the subject. When the vernal point was first defined in the 2nd Century as 0? Aries, the tropical and sidereal zodiacs would have shown no difference. The precession of the equinoxes, a phenomenon know to the ancients but forgotten by Western astronomers during the Dark Ages, meant that the Western zodiac based on the calendar became out of step with the heavens. Western astrologers have never done a catching up exercise and many still do not fully understand the implications of their error.

Astronomers as well as tropical and sidereal astrologers still base their measurement of the sky on a zero point taken as the position of the vernal equinox on the ecliptic. This has the same significance in the sky as the prime meridian on the Earth's globe, i.e. it is the zero point of a 360 degree arc which is used to give a location for any object in the sky known as right ascension. In the same way as longitude (and latitude) give a position on the Earth.

Sidereal astrologers add a correction to this point to allow for the precession of the equinoxes. They do this so that the zodiacal signs used in their astrology coincide with the constellations of stars to which they refer. This correction is called the ayanamsa and different sidereal astrologers use different precise values. This value is usually around 24 degrees at the present time and is constantly increasing as the equinoxes precess.

About 2,000 years ago, the two zodiacs were in approximate agreement and the vernal equinox fell at the start of the constellation Aries. Sidereal astrologers see the failure of most Western astrologers to relate their work to the actual heavens which they interpret as an opportunity for critics of astrology to denigrate the subject.

Science and astrology are based on two diametrically opposed points of view. Everyday, modern science makes new discoveries about the Cosmos, while the knowledge that gives us Vedic astrology is based on the ancient belief that, all that exists has already been discovered and that this knowledge is contained in the ancient scriptures. However, the correlation between astrological predictions and real life events is what makes the existence of astrology undeniable. The term 'Vedic astrology' was introduced by American astrologers in the 1980s and 1990s. 'Vedic' refers to the Hindu holy texts, known as 'Vedas'. This form of astrology is also known as 'Indian ' or 'Hindu' astrology. In the end, however, all of these words are English. In the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit, 'Vedic astrology' is referred to as 'Jyotish', which means the 'Science of Light.'

Time and space are concepts that are central to Vedic astrological calculations. In ancient times Vedic astrologers used the following units of time: Vipal = 4 sec, Pal =24 sec, Ghari = 60 Pal, or 24 min and Ansh, 30 Ansh = 1 Month. Today, Vedic astrologers use modern, metric time units to forecast their predictions and with the help of sophisticated computer software, it is possible for an astrologer to accurately cast the horoscope of any person, born at any location. Once a horoscope has been cast, an astrologer will usually analyse the following aspects: Character and Personality Profile Love and Relationships Health Money Friend & Family Destiny, or Fate in General

However, it is also possible to find the answer to a particular question by employing 'Prasha Shastra', or Horary astrology, by casting a horoscope specifically in relation to when the question was asked. The results of such readings, usually take the form of a simple, 'Yes' or 'No'.

Astrology, be it Eastern or Western, is extremely vast and to explore every aspect of this fascinating subject would be quite beyond the scope of this article, not to mention this writer's capabilities. Never the less, I hope that by scratching the surface, some of the mysteries shrouding astrology have been lifted.

The History Of Astrology

This science is the oldest science known to mankind, and still the most mysterious science to us! Scholars have different opinions on 'When' Astrology came into play. (Also because we today know, how much knowledge there still is needed). But apparently most of them agree that astrology have its roots in Babylon, but with strongly influences from ancient Egypt and later Greece. Babylons first Dynasty is 'right now' placed at 1792-1750 B.C (before Christ), and Ended in around 596 B.C.

But there where also people Before the Babylonians; about 2600 B.C the Sumerians had their emporia, which also shows us knowledge of Astrology/Astronomy. by looking at the found artifacts, scholars say they probably go back to around 5000 B.C. (personal theory)(Here must be said Sumerians & Akkadians Became the Mesopotamians, which later on became the Babylonians. Again by being conquered and interrelation with the many (over numbered) Babylonians, so the through generation became second generations Babylonians.) The problem, is that the the 'next' generation creates its own version of history, and thereby some information get lost with each man. This is why, our history today seems so confusing. To say in another way; If a culture/empire conquerors another Country/Culture, this new culture which has conquered the other, can change what ever they like. They usually don't change the belief system, But rather one can see that for Example the Babylonians choose to practice the science of the Mesopotamian and the Sumerians, and the Akkadians. Then the Old inhibitors of this country get mixed with this New population, and through a few generations, the 'New' version of the belief systems is Taken as 'the normal belief system'.

One more thing can be noticed about our History, Before 'Christ's Birth' what we today call year 0, if we go 2000 years before this date, we come to see that All civilizations /cultures used animals in their writing systems, (for us this has seemed like a primitive writing,, But is it?) but besides this they had a knowledge about astronomy and astrology, which we can't even understand completely today. A science which we only could understand by the technologies that we have today, Like satellite images and computer calculations! -But somehow this science seems ordinary Back in 2000 B.C

In the Pyramid of Senenmut's an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, In the callings of his tomb, there is pictures like our astrological charts we use today! So Astronomy and Astrology, Also The Logical Mind half -Astronomy, verses the Creative mind half -Astrology, is probably mans birthstone here on earth!

Astrology Birth Chart Reading - The Best Personalized Gift You Can Give

Chances are you might believe in astrology, but the odds are much, much better that you read your horoscope birth chart forecast in the newspaper at least occasionally. Although most people say they read their astrological horoscopes for fun, there is something that brings them back time after time. Could it be that there are just too many instances an astrological birth chart forecast has resonated with bits of truth?

Most of us are self-absorbed enough to want to know everything there is to know about ourselves -- who we are, why we are like we are and what makes us tick in this particular way. We love thinking and talking about ourselves. A personal birth chart horoscope is like your fingerprint; no one else has it.

As you probably know, a horoscope is a map of the heavens at the time you were born. A reading taken from this information is your personal astrological birth chart "book", a story about you and you alone. It contains the kind of compelling information that you will consult, read and re-read many times over the years. With each reading, something crops up that you hadn't noticed or analyzed seriously before. As time passes, even statements you dismissed out of hand in the past can begin to ring true. Think of your birth chart horoscope as the perfect map for your journey through life.

It is these kinds of things that make an astrological birth chart reading an ideal personal gift to give to anyone you care about. It is the kind of unique gift that introspective, thoughtful people will treasure for a lifetime. Whether you are Aries, Pisces or anything between, the material contained in a personal astrology reading never grows old. It guides you, starting from the very first time you read it.

If you are a person who finds it difficult to decide what gift to give people on your list, consider giving those people who are special to you an astrology birth chart reading. It is a gift that is valuable without being expensive. And you can be sure the person who receives it will not only use it but will appreciate it for years to come.

The Beauty and Wisdom of Chinese Astrology

Chinese Astrology

Like Western Astrology, Chinese Astrology uses twelve different signs or symbols to define twelve basic groups of human being. These are known as the Chinese Animal Signs. Akin to western astrology, the Chinese system uses a person or an events birth date as the basis for his / her / its sign.

"This is the animal that hides in your heart." - old Chinese saying -

Chinese zodiacal signs run within a (Chinese calendar) year based system. Each Chinese sign has a different animal name and correlates to one Chinese calendar year. Chinese astrology is interwoven into the Chinese calendar and its 12-year cycle of animals (aka Chinese Zodiac). The fortune-telling aspects of a persons animal sign is determined according to the movement of the heavenly bodies (i.e. planets) across the Chinese constellations in the sky.

Planetary Positions

The position of the five planets at the time you were born determines the destiny of your life. Your Chinese animal sign acts like a lens through which your fate is projected. This system of computing ones fate and destiny is still used regularly in modern day Chinese astrology.

The Planets and Chinese Elements

The ancient Chinese astronomers called the five major planets by the names of the Five Elements. Each element adds deeper meaning to each of the Chinese Animal Signs.

Venus = Metal: Determination, leisure, success, individuality, demanding

Jupiter = Wood: Late bloomer, advisor, counselor, faithful, entrepreneurs

Mercury = Water: Forceful, trustworthy, leadership, creativity, healer

Mars = Fire: Enthusiasm, decisive, adventure, love, perseverance

Saturn = Earth: Wisdom, peaceful, logic, disciplined, explorer

Chinese Constellations

The twenty-eight Chinese constellations (x?u) are quite different from the eighty-eight Western constellations. For example, the big dipper (Ursa Major) is known as dou; the belt of Orion is known as shen, or the "Happiness, Fortune, Longevity" trio of demigods. The seven northern constellations are referred to as x?anwu. Xuan Wu is also known as the spirit of the northern sky or the spirit of Water in Taoism belief.

Chinese Mythology

In addition to astrological readings of the heavenly bodies, the stars in the sky form the basis of many fairy tales. For example, the Summer Triangle is the trio of the cowherd (Altair), the spinster maid fairy (Vega) and the "tai bai" fairy (Deneb).

The two forbidden lovers were separated by the silvery river (the Milky Way). Each year on the seventh day of the seventh month in the Chinese calendar, the birds form a bridge across the Milky Way. The cowherd carries their two sons (the two stars on each side of Altair) across the bridge to reunite with their fairy mother. The tai bai fairy acts as the chaperone of these two immortal lovers.

The Beauty of Chinese Astrology

Chinese astrology is one of the most beautiful expressions of spiritual identity that we have been given. Through metaphors and imagery the longing of the soul to become one with the infinite is clearly expressed. Unlike western astrology Chinese astrology deals with the metaphysical aspects of life through a dreamlike narrative. The needs of the spirit are seen as through the eyes of a child.

Life and Astrology

Chinese astrology like Western astrology is only one of the paths to divine knowledge. Other avenues toward ultimate truth are all around us. The song of a bird, the sound of the sea, or the cry of a newborn child are all whispered hints of the natural order of things.

When one bird dies another will take up its song. If the sea were to dry up the wind would take its place. And, when an old man dies a baby will be born to continue his journey. This gift of life that we have been given is a sacred trust and the manner in which we choose to live it will really tell us who we are.
